1. What information does the author attempt to deliver to the reader

Beach reclamation is the act to protect a beach from erosion. Beach reclamation is often done through a process called dredging. Sometime the sand is deposited at the site. Sand either directly applied or the sand that has been gathered is cleaned through heat process and then deposited. The purpose of reclamation is to protect development properties from storm damage. Dredging have some problem like habit destruction and the cost.
